Terms of use

These terms govern use of the PersonVideo ID website and the information published there. By using the site, you accept these terms and the role of Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd as operator of this online service.

Using this site without misreading the service

This website describes remote video identity verification services for business onboarding. It is meant for organisations that need guided video sessions, ID document capture, face comparison, liveness checks and related operational support as part of their internal customer due diligence processes.

You may browse the site to learn about service options, process steps and support work for integration, staff training and operating procedures. You must not use the site in a way that interferes with its security, copies content unlawfully, or misrepresents PersonVideo ID, its staff or its services.

  • Use the site only for lawful business enquiries.
  • Do not attempt unauthorised access or data scraping.
  • Do not submit false, misleading or incomplete information through the site.

Service information and business discretion

The website content is provided for general information and business planning. Service descriptions, process outlines and support notes may be adjusted as operating requirements change, including workflow mapping, API coordination, training, quality monitoring and pilot launch support.

Nothing on this site is legal advice, compliance advice or a promise that any customer will satisfy a particular legal test. Each business remains responsible for its own onboarding rules, internal controls and document handling decisions under its own legal and policy obligations.

  • We may update service descriptions without notice.
  • Published process notes are not a substitute for internal policy review.
  • Operational steps can differ by client system and risk approach.

Accounts, sessions and client responsibilities

Where a client uses remote verification services, that client is responsible for obtaining valid customer consent, setting suitable onboarding rules and keeping its own records in line with applicable law and its business procedures. The service may involve a guided video session, an ID document presentation, face comparison, liveness checks and record keeping linked to the session outcome.

Clients must provide accurate integration details, approved staff contacts and suitable internal instructions before live use. If client systems, scripts or onboarding rules change, the client should update its own team and request support where required.

  • Keep account access restricted to authorised personnel.
  • Use correct session instructions and approved scripts.
  • Maintain internal records for your own onboarding files.

POPIA, confidentiality and record handling

PersonVideo ID handles operational information in line with applicable South African data handling requirements and with regard to POPIA principles, including purpose limitation, security safeguards and lawful processing. Session records, identity images, verification outcomes and related support notes are kept only for business purposes connected to the service.

Clients must ensure that their own use of customer information has a valid basis and that their notices, consent wording and retention practices fit their internal compliance framework. Access to verification records should be limited to people who need the information for operational or audit purposes.

  • Only process personal information for a defined business purpose.
  • Keep records secure and access controlled.
  • Delete or retain material according to your own policy and law.

Website content, ownership and permitted use

All text, layouts, graphics, process descriptions and site materials remain the property of the operator or its licensors, unless stated otherwise. You may view the site for normal business use, but you may not copy, republish, reuse or adapt content for a competing service without written permission.

Liability limits, interruptions and contact

The site is provided with reasonable care, but no website is free from interruptions, data errors or occasional maintenance. PersonVideo ID and Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd are not liable for losses caused by misuse of the site, incorrect client instructions, third party systems, or business decisions made from incomplete information.
